Diamond Super Specialty Hospital has been established Five year ago, in the heart of the city of Kolhapur. It is very easily accessible by road and rail, being just about 2 kilometers from the central bus stand as well as the railway station. It is a state of art setup, built to provide very high-quality care at a reasonable cost. It is catering to all kinds of medical and surgical patients from the district of Kolhapur, as well as Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Sangli, Satara, and Belgaum. The chief in house consultants, Dr. Kaustubh Aurangabadkar (neurologist), Dr. Sayi Prasad (Chief Intensivist and Physician), Dr. Vilas Naik (nephrologist and intensivist), Dr. Shradha Naik (ophthalmologist), Dr. Gauri Sayi Prasad (gynecologist)- have been in practice since more than 10 years.
The idea of establishing the “Diamond Superspecialty Hospital” was to bring all specialties and super specialties under one roof and to provide comprehensive medical care to the patients. We have specialists and Super specialists in almost all fields of medicine and surgery. We have a full-time Neurosurgeon, Cardiologists and Cardiac surgeons, Pulmonologist, GI surgeons, general surgeons, Orthopedician, and consultants in almost all specialties in the medical field.

Above all, we have adequate, well-qualified, and well-trained nursing staff and technical support. There is 24 hours backup for electricity and water supply. We have 3 Reverse osmosis plants for supplying good quality water.
Infrastructure
We have a very well-equipped ICU, Cardiac ICU, and surgical ICU. The ICUs are equipped with high-end Medical monitors, Ventilators, central monitoring system, central suction, central oxygenation, compressed air system, pacemaker system, facilities for invasive hemp dynamic monitoring, etc. There is a state-of-the-art dialysis unit, with 16 stations and catering to nearly 1000 dialysis per month. We have a Neurocritical unit and a rehabilitation center. The operation theatre complex, with 3 OTs, has a very advanced air purification system (AHUs with Laminar air flows), High-end anesthesia work stations, complete Laparoscopic setup, cautery, All instruments and back up for cardiac surgeries, all instruments and microscopes for brain and spine surgery, including trauma, eye surgery, all kidney surgeries, including KIDNEY transplant surgery and high-risk pregnancy surgeries.
We have an in-house- X-ray, C arm, Sonography, and CT scan. We have an in-house cath lab, for angiography, angioplasty, and many other procedures (in cardiology, neurology, vascular problems).
The diamond hospital has performed nearly 700 surgeries in the last year, there have been around 3000 admissions to the hospital, nearing 200 outpatient patients per day.
